Vancouver Chapter Film Screening: "Afghan Cycles"

The Vancouver Chapter of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan invites you to a screening of the award-winning documentary Afghan Cycles, directed by Sarah Menzies, whose feature length film documents the story of a generation of Afghan women who are confronting gender and cultural barriers by using the bicycle as a vehicle for freedom, empowerment and social change.

6:00 – 7:00pm: Shop the Afghan Marketplace and enjoy refreshments

7:00 - 9:00pm: Film followed by Q&A and a panel discussion featuring Shakila Zareen, activist fighting violence against women recently profiled on CBC, and Lauryn Oates, Executive Director of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan.
