in Afghanistan, along with Sally's newest book,"Bitter Roots, Tender
Shoots".

EVENT SYNOPSIS:  This event, co-sponsored by the Surrey Teachers'
Association and Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan, is an evening full
of wonderful afghan food, afghan entertainment, silent auction, door prizes
and our special guest speaker Sally Armstrong.  Sally will be talking about
her trip to Afghanistan which inspired her to pen her most recent bestseller
"Bitter Roots, Tender Shoots".
