CW4WAfghan goals are: to advance education for Afghan women and girls, and to engage Canadians as global citizens.
Now more than ever your support does matter....
...to her life and to yours.
Literacy students are encouraged to borrow books and take them home where family members can also be exposed to reading. Integrated into our literacy classes is a life skills curriculum covering health and first aid, hygiene, nutrition, child development and human rights among other topics.
Through our Technology for Education program, we have connected teachers with educational materials housed in our Darakht-e Danesh Library, a digital repository of open educational resources (OER) in Afghan languages
CW4WAfghan equips schools with Library Starter Kits and Science Lab Starter Kits, bringing the magic of science into classrooms with hands-on learning through microscopes and skeletons, to beakers and prisms.
An investment in women and girls is an investment in global prosperity, and in our common future.
CW4WAfghan has trained nearly 10,000 teachers Afghanistan, helping them master their subject knowledge and learn new approaches to pedagogy like active learning methodology, as well as earning a credential as a certified teacher.
