Chapters, Volunteers and Members

The Board will focus on supporting, promoting and enhancing the development of members and the development and work of chapters, including LW4LWA through:

  • Guidelines/regulations for defining a member and a chapter
  • Maintaining membership data base
  • Communicating with members
  • Communicating successful strategies between chapters
  • Involvement of chapters within the national vision
  • Review of bylaws and how they affect chapters
  • Review of fundraising policies at a chapter level (in conjunction with Fundraising Committee)
  • Review of policies regarding administrative funds (in conjunction with Treasurer)
  • Developing methods to communicate chapter news to the national level (in conjunction with the Media and Communications Committee)
  • Suggestions for events - what works and what doesn’t
  • Facilitating chapters’ ability/tools for selling Afghan products
  • Connecting individuals in other cities interested in starting new chapters
  • Assist chapters with volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition
